Multiverse Computing raises $215M to advance AI efficiency

Quantum computing software scale-up Multiverse Computing has raised $215M to scale CompactifAI, its quantum-inspired tool that compresses large language models by up to 95% with minimal accuracy loss. The result? 4–12× faster inference, 50–80% cost savings, and deployment on edge devices like PCs, phones, cars, drones, etc. Co-founded in 2019 by MBA’91 Enrique Lizaso, Multiverse Computing applies quantum AI to finance, energy, cybersecurity, and life sciences, helping industries solve complex challenges—and is putting Europe at the forefront of efficient, sovereign AI.

Pitching camp with EMBA participants in Madrid Campus

“Perfect pitches don’t exist—but powerful ones do.” In a recent pitching camp with Executive MBA students in Madrid, Professor Yuliya Snihur emphasized that pitching is less about structure and more about clarity, credibility, and adaptability. Each session began with a live pitch—not to judge, but to learn. Her key takeaways: own the “why you,” because investors back people as much as ideas; and keep it simple—if your pitch can’t be explained in one sentence, it’s not ready. At IESE, pitching is more than a skill—it’s a way to lead through storytelling.

IESE continues to build 'Talent Bridges' between Spain and Latin America

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center hosted the latest cohort of participants from Madrid's City Council's program 'Puentes de Talento'. During their visit to our Madrid campus, participants learned about IESE's entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem supporting entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors. The initiative is aimed at talented young individuals selected for their outstanding achievements in the fields of academia, research, science, or technology, as well as in the world of entrepreneurship. The initiative serves as a reference for Latin American entrepreneurs seeking to internationalize their companies and choose the city of Madrid to do so.

How founders' values enable business model innovation in new ventures

Deutz AG, founded in 1864, is rethinking its business model amid decarbonization and geopolitical shifts. Once focused on engines for agriculture and construction, the company is now expanding into defense—adapting to new customers, standards, and value propositions. As CEO Sebastian Schulte admits, change wasn’t easy. But as Professor Christoph Zott notes in this article, successful business model innovation requires the right mindset, process, and tools—plus resilience. Deutz’s journey shows how even long-standing industrial players can transform adversity into strategic renewal.

Reinventing retail: Barnes & Noble’s comeback playbook

Barnes & Noble has pulled off a surprising revival in the age of Amazon. As featured in Forbes by Professor Yuliya Snihur, the company shifted from competing on price to offering something Amazon can’t: Curated, local experiences. Empowering store managers, reducing centralized control, and transforming stores into community hubs proved key. With book signings, unique selections, and a renewed focus on customer connection, B&N reframed disruption as a chance to reinvent itself—offering a strategic lesson in resilience through reinvention and the leadership role of a CEO in framing strategic direction as highlighted in the recent research published in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. co-authored by Professor Christoph Zott.
